Run with a Purpose

My name is Marilyn Cox and I am a colleague of Dave Schwarber. I also love to run. I love to push myself as far as I can. Having completed 11 marathons and a half Ironman I often take for granted the strength of my body. Every race I've competed in has been out of sheer enjoyment. As they say in the military I never "moved with a purpose." When I decided on my next event I knew that I had to make this one count. After hearing Dave's story I knew I had found that purpose. I was moved by the incredible determination demonstrated by his wife and daughter. As a wife and mother I was touched by the love and commitment shared by his family.

Move With A Purpose

MS is a debilitating disease that affects millions of people and does not discriminate.  It affects the central nervous system and oftentimes impairs movement.  That very movement we take for granted.

On August 28, 2011 I will compete in the Louisville Ironman.  The Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run.
Join me in raising money and awareness for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Together we can move with a purpose.
